MIL-PRF-900 (MIL-R-900)
Mil-PRF-900, or MIL-R-900, is a 45-durometer MIL-spec specialized rubber material with a hardness measurement of 45 durometer on the Shore A scale. This type of rubber is commonly used for sealing applications due to its balanced properties of flexibility and compression set resistance. The 45-duro rubber offers a certain level of softness, allowing it to conform well to irregular surfaces while effectively creating a reliable seal. It provides a good balance between being able to maintain its shape under compression and adapting to various contours, which is essential for achieving effective seals in applications such as gaskets, O-rings, and seals in mechanical systems. Additionally, being manufactured to meet MIL-spec standards ensures consistent quality, durability, and performance, making it a dependable choice for sealing applications in both military and industrial contexts.
